Your wedding day should be the most important day of your life. It is the day when all your friends and family, as well as the friends and family of your husband-to-be, gather together to celebrate your big day. Unless you are lucky enough to be able to afford a wedding planner, you will have so many things to think about and plan, from the pre-wedding parties to the wedding ceremony and reception, and even the honeymoon.

As part of your wedding day, it is expected that certain people in your wedding party give speeches to congratulate you on your newly married status and also to tell a few stories about you and the groom. To a certain extent, you don’t need to worry about this aspect of the wedding, unless you intend to make a speech yourself. Who gives the speeches and toasts at your wedding really depends on what you want. It is traditional for the male side of the wedding party only to give speeches. You may even want to cut this down further and just ask the best man and groom to give a speech. Then again, you may want to laugh in the face of tradition and make sure the female side of the wedding party, including yourself, have the chance to say something. Of course, you will need to check with everyone that they are happy to give a speech.

Wedding Speeches is a great book, I liked that there is info on the proper order of speeches as well as how to make sure that a great speech is delivered. Impressive and really helpful!

I would listen to Wedding Speeches again to get more ideas on writing any wedding speech and to listen to the tone that should be set by the speech.

Which scene was your favorite?

I particularly enjoyed the section on HOW to deliver the speech. While you may think you know how to give a speech, this section advises you on how to set your tone and what to say.

The book "Wedding Speeches" helps with not only the traditional speeches given by the men (Father of the Bride, Father of the Groom, Groom and Best Man) but also speeches by the female party members (Mother of the Bride, Mother of the Groom, Bride and Maid of Honor/Bridesmaid) as that is becoming more popular.

This book helps with determining the length of your speech, what is appropriate and even ideas of what to say. This book is a definite must have for any person who needs to give a wedding speech.

What did you love best about Wedding Speeches?

I love the fact that I felt confident in planning my wedding after reading some of the wedding books, especially this one, that Sam Siv has created. Like the others I felt as though I was receiving personal one on one attention from a wedding planner. I cannot express how lost I would be without the guidance that Sam Siv has provided in this book. I also love listening to Christy Lynn; a great narration. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for information to make their wedding (or someone else's) a success.
