Publisher's summary

To Dr. Candace Pert, "feeling good" and "feeling God" are one in the same. It may be surprising to hear a world-renowned biologist talking about God, yet Candace Pert is on the vanguard of a new breed of scientists who fearlessly explore the territory where science and spirit meet.

On To Feel Go(o)d, listeners will experience the unique and charismatic style that has made Dr. Pert such a sought-after speaker. On this original audio, Pert blends lucid, accessible explanations of cutting-edge biology, stories of her remarkable personal experiences as she strives toward a cure for AIDS, and inspirational wisdom on how enlightened science can guide us into a state of oneness with the divine.

Excellent

Brilliant listen from a woman that is nothing short of amazing. I wish she were on the Planet in physical form still

" I know that I deserve to feel bliss w/o guilt "

The best part of this audio for me was the second half. And it was well worth my time and investment. Dr Pert's calm clear voice discussing HOW to achieve healthy pleasure was wonderful. We live in such a noisy, competitive world and many of us need to dial that back. To do that allows reestablishing the joy we may have felt in childhood. It was nice to hear her lovely laugh and feel the bright, curious scientist at the same time. And now I have a plan.

Don't be fooled by the title

What disappointed you about To Feel G(o)od?

This title and summary are misleading. This turned out to be a scientific lecture about receptors in the body (opiate was the primary focus). God was mentioned in passing in the last 5 minutes but based upon the title I expected the entire lecture to be about feeling "bliss" as was the start of the topic and how the body function/chemicals related to a relationship to the divine.

What could Candace Pert have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Change the title so that it was apparent that this was a scientific lecture and did not relate to the "feelings" related to metaphysics or the divine.

Any additional comments?

If you are looking for the "mind-body" connection as I was, look for other authors.
