Cute

Funny moments
Solid ending (but I’m in my 50s not my 30s so younger folks may or may not agree)

Dumb

I suspect that most of her stories are made up. Nobody is as dumb as she pretends to be.

I made it 17 minutes in before archiving it.

This was a odd book!!! The writer sounded mad and the narrator sounded hurt. Again a very odd book.

The most depressing book EVER

The way the narrator tried to change her voice between the early chapters was almost offensive and irritating . The book itself "the terrible loneliness of being single and why it will be ok". Every chapter until the last final 5 minutes of the book were about why being single is the worst, most depressing pathetic stage of life. The "bad" was highlighted in excruciating painful snarky slit-your-wrist now detail. The "good" was equally depressing as in " yay. You can even masturbate standing in the living room in front of the window". Yes perspective readers, that is supposed be one of the "positive" aspects of being single.

I'm all for sarcastic humor, but chose the book for the "and why it is all going to be ok".

This book is for you if:

you are on the fence of being depressed over being single, and need help getting to full blown depression. Or

You just got out of a horrible relationship and need to wallow in the negative aspects of being in a relationship.

I did stay to the end some what out of curiosity, the way I'll watch a really horrible movie thinking that eventually surely it will get better. Also because I wanted to see if there would ever be any "and it will be OK advice." (Which was basically you'll live through ).

Uff!

This wasn’t worth $1.99. There is nothing worse than listening to someone go on for 1 hr 45 minutes...thinking they are hilarious. Yes if you have simple humor, enjoy stories and laugh at pretty much everything, then this is for you! If you’re looking for something serious for a sensitive, personal issue, then keep searching.

Juvenile

I get that these stories might be appropriate for someone, probably someone pretty young. So if you’re 20 and you just had a break up and you’re whining about how horrible it is to be so lonely for a few weeks or maybe a month, this might be the book for you. I can remember being 20 so I don’t mean to knock that. It’s not that I expected this to be a totally serious book, but it’s full of just silliness. And definitely for young people, almost makes you feel stupid, listening to it as an older person. I got to the fourth chapter, four of four bad chapters and decided it wasn’t worth reading anymore. It’s just not worth my time. It’s full of sex and vulgarity and just stuff that I don’t really care about, stuff that isn’t what being single is about to me. It just felt cliché like one of those silly sitcoms, this could be the writing of one of those silly 20 year old girl sitcoms, and if you’re into that you might like this.
