Glad we are finally getting more RV books!

To start with the bad. The audio quality isn’t great. I suspect it was recorded using a low end computer microphone. At times you can hear the voice moving closer and farther away and sometimes even fiddling with the mic. I was also a little put off by being charged such a high price for what was only an hour and a half listen.

Other than that: I love reading about RV travel, I have read or listened to dozens if not hundreds of hours of information on the subject. Most of it is out there for free too. While this book only scratches the surface it does give the occasional tip that I haven’t heard anywhere else (like how to keep spiders away).

It’s worth picking up, although I think the price could come down a bit. I hope audible adds more RV books in it’s library!

Plenty of detail

Plenty of useful detail (not so much on decluttering or financials) and you can find most of these tips in YouTube videos but it's still a decent affordable book.

Don't waste your time!!

Would you try another book from Janice Thompson and/or Sharon Olivia Blumberg?

NO! The information is often dated and contradictory. For example, the book instructed the reader extensively on being safe, securing your RV and camping site, being wary of strangers, and the dangers of the people in campgrounds, and then turns around and said to get to know other campers because RV people are so wonderful. I felt like the writer was somewhat schizophrenic.

What was most disappointing about Janice Thompson’s story?

I thought the information on "becoming debt free" was incredibly simplistic. It boiled down to pay off your bills before thinking about taking on the expenses of an RV. If there was a discussion about "stress free life" I missed it in all the gloom and doom.

What didn’t you like about Sharon Olivia Blumberg’s performance?

The narration was hideous. She uses a overly exaggerated tone of enthusiasm that was extremely annoying. I listened through the whole book hoping to get a few useful tips. There were a few tidbits worth listening to, but not enough to warrant enduring the painful narration. I found the same tips in some other books and online resources. I would have rated performance a zero if that had been possible.

Any additional comments?

There are a number of other books out there for new RVers, or those considering the RV plunge. I found particularly helpful the books by (C.S.) Sean Michael, which, although they aren't available on Audible, are on Kindle! They are very informational and really fun read!
