One of my favorite all time books!

This is a special book about silence that is beautifully written. I gave it to a friend and she said it changed her life. We have decided to do a day a silence together every month. Anyone on a spiritual path should read this amazing book.

Satisfied !

This book has greatly helped me. When I realized "quiet", or the absence of sound, was not "Silence", and that Silence is a divine state that cannot be "made" but (in)perienced, that was when I found the doorway to a more intimate relationship with God and a much better understanding of myself.

Absulately best book!

This is a fantastic book. Anyone dealing with the ego controlling their lives should read it. I learned a lot about myself and am pursuing a deeper look into transcending my ego. The best part is that I did not feel judged, which most people hate, but from Anne's experience saw myself and the work I need to do on myself.

Overall best !

This book was amazing. It teaches one the power in silence and how it can annoy others who do not understand.. Yet for those who practice silence regularly we can get a deeper understanding that over time can conquer all the noise in the world. It reminded me of something my grandmother said growing up, "Be still and know that I am God!" When we take a walk alone on the beach and let the scene and tide speak to us, we learn to appreciate more. Anne LeClaire is excellent at bringing this all out in her book.

Worth the time!

Very good reminder of the values of slowing down and quieting the mind. Also wanted to read this as it was the last book he wrote before his devastating stroke.

Good listen!

This book is an extraordinary indication of the energy of tuning into one's inward hush. I read a tad of it consistently before dozing. No more a sleeping disorder for me as I tune in to my quiet and float into sweet dreams. The book is likewise useful for being intentionally to set aside the opportunity to just tune in to nature. I will keep re-listening this one.

Imformative book!

A book that touches our requirement for internal peace. To begin with in perceiving the commotion that shields us from hearing God in the little whispering sound simply outside the give in. At that point in real life and work it takes to hush the stresses, contemplations, and the numerous things that that rules out God in our day by day life.

Love this book. In this time where the everyday noises
around us seem normal. I take great pleasure in tuning out those noises and breathing deeply and remembering the amazing sounds of nature. We can gain by reading this thoughtful book, in this time of high tech speed, children and adults who live by their devices and actually have lost the fine art of holding a conversation.

Useful book.

Timely, (should I say ageless?), in this politically charged atmosphere. I've been marginally shocked heathen, presumptuous outgoing individuals and now I know why, on the grounds that a great deal (if not all) of what we do and say is Self roused. We were made by God for God. We will never discover genuine peace and reason until the point that we surrender and listen......in quiet.

Important book!

I think this is the most critical book available right at this point. Not that its topic could ever be inconvenient, yet it is particularly auspicious in our tweet-soaked, consideration scattered, flickering light present day world. This is one of those books where I need to prevent myself from underlining pretty much everything.Theologically, it is remarkably astute and instructive. Spiritually, it is as nourishing a listen as any book I can remember listening.
