best book ever if u want to save a marriage.

I'm not married yet, but this is preparing me for an excellent one that will surely please my wife and God. Again, thank you firbthe work put into this book.

absolutely life-changing

I really enjoyed this book . It is phenomenal. it kept me hook from beginning to end. the support of the biblical scriptures made it even more touching to my heart. It was absolutely brilliant the way the author describe the fundamental principles and foundation of marriage.

Spiritually life changing

I am 23 years old and since being engaged nine months ago, the biblical truths shared in this book has changed my life dramatically. It have completely matured deepened my understanding of love and respect in marriage in accordance with God's word. After being blessed with this new understanding, I have such a deep desire to live it out in every area of my life, and especially honor God in the way I respect, love, and honor my soon to be husband.
There is not one person I would limit this book to. I wish I would have found it sooner. Since finding this book, I have listened to it several times, including subscribing to the authors podcast on Love and Respect.
Thank you, Dr. Eggerichs, for being faithful to spread the truth of God's word. I am continuing to see a change in myself because and I look forward to more spiritual growth with God's strength.

Could use better audio editing

Their were several spots of dead air that made me think my app had crashed, and several spots where I could hear page turning that was distracting. The performance was good but could have used a little more work in post.

What can I say? I listen to Emerson and Jonathan’s podcast. I’ve immensely appreciated all of their books - Love & Respect, Love & Respect in the Family, gifted my mom Mother & Son (she was blown away at how much better she understood my brother),and look forward to listening to Before You Hit Send.

As any good student of life will tell you - repetition is key - to learn a new habit or trait. This book is important because it is a much deeper dive into the philosophy of Love & Respect.

Growing up in a single parent household where both divorced parents bad mouthed each other and were terribly hurt and frustrated with one another there were no great examples of relationships for me to follow close by. It’s incredibly helpful to hear success stories of couples who practice love and respect and overcame numerous crazy cycles. I need to hear these examples and how other couples did it, because I did not have this or see it growing up.

Pink and blue lenses, the Crazy Cycle, the Energizing Cycle and best of all the Rewarded Cycle, are all covered with numerous examples in this book The Language of Love and Respect. And best of all - Emerson reads it in the Audible version! If you are unable to attend his Love & Respect conference for any reason - this is the next best thing.

Like I said he dives deep and gives thorough examples of couples who get through the tough obstacles relationships present to us. And there’s his humor and great studies to back up his theories as well. I love it! And listen to it in my car everyday, along with his other books. Worth every penny for the lifelong learner! Inspired and Relationship Chaningjng

So far, just I, the wife, has listened to this and it is already helping my marriage. Hopefully my husband will eventually listen and we will see more improvement. Emerson is very fair to both sexes and offers sound advice and insight for those willing to learn. This is not gimmicky. It is all biblically based

Completely worth it!

This is an amazing book to listen to following the love and respect book. It helps give you more tools to use and put it into practical use. Worth the investment for a lifetime.
