    horrible

What would have made The Happy Stepmother better?

I couldn't make it past fifteen minutes. This could have been written a hundred years ago.

What was most disappointing about Rachelle Katz’s story?

    What wasn't.

How could the performance have been better?

    sounded like a robot

    Any additional comments?

Wish I could get my money back it was my first audible try....it's also my last. what a waste of money.

Helpful at first, but too long

My first impression of this book was, “Wow!Someone is putting that experience into words! I’m not the only one!” But that was the beginning. The book deserves credit for its content, but I found myself skipping through chapters because the situations the narrator was describing did not relate to me at all. That’s personal. Everyone’s step situation is different. But be aware that it may be difficult to sit through the parts that aren’t relevant to you. The sign offs at the end of each “Stepmothers Speak” is a little cheesy and I could have done without that. It also leans more into self love and boundaries, than particular step situations at some points. I enjoyed that idea but it was a little common sense to me. I really wanted to like it. I am still searching for a quality step parent related book, but between lengthiness and robotic narration, I don’t think this was the one for me.

    Worth The Read

The pages in this book felt as if I wrote this book about my life presently. Highly recommend this for any stepmom who struggles with being a part of a blended family. It’s Worth The Read!
