Tolle As You've Heard Tolle Before

If you've read or listened to any of Eckhart Tolle's books before, you've heard this. It's about what we identify with, what we fixate on, how we need to expand our consciousness/awareness. Plus, it's about pauses in the delivery to his audience. Long, lengthy pauses. Pauses that were so drawn out, I thought the book had stopped itself. Tolle is an amiable sort, and his tone is kind and warm, but seriously: Hours could have been cut from this book.
If you're looking for guidance, looks to his other works. This one has been done before.

Nice and long

Eckhart talks about things I have not heard him mention before in this nice and long talk. He should do stand up comedy, he's hilarious. lots of insights and laughs in this. Some parts the audio quality is very bassy. Be sure to hear the end, it's the best part.

Sustaining Presence

What did you love best about Sustaining Presence in the Face of Catastrophe?

Last Sunday the 10 of Septmeber I was in a shelter awaiting hurricane Irma after recieving a message from Charlotte County to evacuate Saturday morning the 9th of September. My home was in Flood zone B. My cats were in anohter room in the shelter but we were as safe as we were going to be. I didnt know if anything was going to be left my car, house me and my cats, I had audible on all of my devices and I listened to Eckhart Tolle Sustaining Presence in the Face of Catastrophe the night it was hitting us. I had to let go of everything, I didnt want to what if everything, tried to stay present as much as I could. Listening to Eckhart has helped me a great deal in watching myself when I want to go into a painbody and not following it down its ugly path like I have in the past. Its a constant energy that awareness slips in and out of but I feel like there is some progress.
The next morining about 4:30 am I reazied I made it thur with liitle or no damage to the school I was in I then went to see if my car was still there in the dark as the power went out and the only light was the back up lighjts and my flashlight. I walked thu downed tree branches and lo and behold my car and not a scratch on it. I was amazed. I was then able to go see my cats they were in a stronger room than I was:) I drove my car closer to the shelter and started to put my things back in my car.
I recieved a message from my neighbor that my house was fine and never lost power. I was able to go back I couldnt believe it after all the destruction that Irma caused.

Things are just things I dont own anything the message is clear lets say perhaps i wont go in to the clouds as quicky and stay in my pain body too long.

What did you like best about this story?

The messaage of now. How we have to experience a painbody until we actually dont need to go there any more and what experience does it take to get me there.
How to look a the world and the different groups and how their painbodys effect us.
The hope of people waking up.

Which scene was your favorite?

I love his sense of humor and how suscinctly each example hits home and we can laugh about it.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I was in Weehaken NJ when the planes hit the world trade center I saw the first bullding burning and didnt understand what I was seeing at the time. What expearience will it take to wake me up.

Any additional comments?

I really love Eckharts message it is clear without dogma.

I am overwhelmed by the Presence he affords

ACIM states that to be honest you are consistent in all you do, say, and think. This author holds true in all his pointers he provides in this book.

very hard to listen to

Several seconds go by between sentences. I had to keep checking to see if my device stopped working.

Can't say if the content was good as I could not stay awake.

Post 9/11 retreat - a recommended experience

A retreat with Tolle is always a heart opener and this one is no exception. This retreat was conceived not long after 9/11 so it reflects this but is not "limited" by it.

Performance rating is mere my mind minding microphone issues resulting in occational bad audio quality. However, let not that discourage you.

The quest is fulfilled in the Brilliance of Presence!

Beautifully articulated and so pleasantly delivered. I had read New Earth years ago and found that this has brought me to a greater comprehension of the fullness and completeness of Presence!
