Critic Reviews

"Gale not only explores the mind/body relationship and how it can be healed and bolstered, she adds the spiritual as well. I never thought of self-hypnosis as an alternative to meditation. Gale has opened up an new world to me and my creativity." (John O'Boyle, producer and winner of four Tony Awards)
"Very few books offer more useful and accurate advice than Reprogram Your Subconscious.... Gale Glassner Twersky has written a definitive yet accessible book. Best book about self hypnosis

I read many books about self hypnosis and non of them come close to this one.
The book explains the mechanism of the subconscious mind, why it works a certain way, how to best connect with it to create changes, the difference between direct and indirect suggestions and how to get the best results for long lasting change in self hypnosis.
It also includes guided recorded sessions for someone like me who isn't a hypnotist and has some fear of doing it alone. Gale's guided hypnosis are clear, easy to follow and help you understood doing self hypnosis.
The book also includes case student.....

If you want to learn self hypnosis and use it to change your life get this book you won't be sorry.

Wow

I was always curious about hypnosis but also skeptical I could be hypnotized. I do practice meditation which in reality is about the same as self hypnosis without the reprogramming part. The transcripts that came with this book took me by surprise and as I snapped into consciousness upon being directed to do so! Definitely works, and now I'm stoked to reprogram my mind in the way that will benefit my future. Thank you for this invaluable resource!

Outstanding! Everyone should learn this!

Where does Reprogram Your Subconscious rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This audiobook is narrated by the author herself, which makes a huge difference. Often a great book is spoiled by a narrator who reads but not really coherent with the content. Not on this one. Gale is enthusiastic about the matter, speaks from the heart and shares many of her practical experience.I knew about hypnosis but did not realize how far reaching the damage can go, to the point of preventing someone to heal. This book was an eye opener in what hypnosis can do and how it can be done by oneself.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Yes. I tried many subliminals and self hypnosis audio before, without success. This program was recommended by a friend who is a hypnotherapist. The book led to having a session with Gale, using a personalized script. It was a joy working with her. She is meticulous, thorough and goes in much more details than other tapes I've seen. After the session, I could feel the difference, which was a bit similar to the feeling one gets after having a Reiki empowerment or a veil / fog that has been lifted off one's head. She doesn't want to create dependence on her practitioner. Rather she wants to empower the subject so that the subject can do this on their own.

What about Gale Glassner Twersky ACH’s performance did you like?

Besides explaining in detail how to do it, the author shares her experience from live sessions, both successful and unsuccessful.

Best book I've read about the Subconscious Mind

Would you listen to Reprogram Your Subconscious again? Why?

This book has such valuable information that it should be listened to not just once but numerous times.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Reprogram Your Subconscious?

I loved hearing about the author's success stories of other clients she's worked with and how some of her clients were able to identify the root cause of their issue through hypnosis.

No, I haven't.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

Anyone can benefit from reprogramming the subconcious mind. You may not be aware of certain behaviors that are deeply embedded into your unconscious mind that may be holding you back from reaching your full potential.

Any additional comments?

This is by far the best book I've read about the impact that our subconscious mind has on our emotional and physical state. After reading this book, it has given me so much hope and a sense of empowerment that I am in control of how I program my subconscious mind. The possibilities for self improvement are endless and I'm grateful to this author for giving me the tools to do so.

Padded and Metaphysical

The audiobook is padded with several hypnotic suggestion clips they suggest for various purposes. Real time for read material is 2-3 hours less than started.

Additionally, I was disappointed by forays into metaphysical notions and pseudoscience. Spirituality was a greater focus than expected after the nuts and bolts of self-hypnosis were covered. While available research supports the positive effects of hypnotherapy and, by extension, self-hypnosis, several claims also ran contrary to sound medical reasoning, going just short of suggesting hypnosis for most physical ailments.

Overall, the base, usable content is about 30-40% of this book. If you are actually seeking the aspects I described, you'll get your money's worth, and this would be 5 stars. If not, there may be better resources for you and me.
