What is love? Sharon Salzberg believes that love is a powerful healing force for us all and that modern associations with romance and adoration are limiting. By redefining love, she helps us to recognize our desire for happiness and enhance our connections with each other.

Real Love is a creative toolkit of mindfulness exercises and meditation techniques that can help you to truly engage with your present experience and create deeper love relationships - with yourself, your partner, friends and family, and life itself. The audiobook encourages us to strip away layers of negative habits and obstacles and to improve deeper connections, helping us to experience authentic love based on direct experience rather than preconceptions.

Critic Reviews

"In Real Love, one of the world's leading authorities on love tells us how to find it, how to nurture it, how to honor it - and most of all how to rethink it.... This book has the power to set your heart at peace." (Susan Cain, author of Quiet)

This book has changed me.

From living in fear, having general anxiety, acute anxiety and mild to quite severe depression, whilst still having some hope in me and an innate ambition to love life. I have read many books on my journey. I have listened to a good handful of teachers. I've learnt something from everyone. This book has almost been the shiny wrapping and neat bow that has wrapped up my lessons, but also helped me to find clarity and ... love.

I walked to work listening to it one day. Normally a pretty dull walk. But I saw so much beauty that day.
The chapter that involves the Christmas presents made me weep, in the street, just with pure love and joy.

I'm going to listen again and again.
I want these words to be my blueprint.

I want every human to have this book, these lessons. I'm certainly going to recommend it to everyone I love, or at least the people i know about for a start.

I love this book.
I love Sharon.
I just get it.
And I love that!

Captivating

I wasn’t sure if this was going to be for me. New to meditation and curious about love but currently single, I was afraid of pain resurfacing. Real love has opened me up to embrace love in a whole different way. To treasure what I have, and acknowledge what I don’t and to find love in the everyday interactions and moments I have. I feel like my soul has lifted and I will be reading this again and again and revisiting the meditations as I continue to experience life with its beautiful highs and lows.
