Pointless Drivel

Don't waste your time or money. This book spends 3-4 hours saying virtually nothing. What is does say is patently obvious (spend time with your child) and trite. Wasted a credit.

A good starting point

The book is more of an overview than an in-depth analysis, finished it on a walk.

Great read

I really felt like I could understand the book just as well without knowing who was writing the section. The writing flowed so well together that the author notations were unnecessary. Overall, I give this book an A – good resource for boy-moms and dads.

Great Resource for Parenting Boys

The book devotes entire chapters to what a boy will learn from both his mother and his father, which I thought was very interesting. This makes it so clear why it is important for a son to have both a mother and a father in his life. Another chapter discusses the differences between how boys develop and how girls develop. This book discusses how to create a Biblical journey for your son from child to man, and I think it is a great resource for any parent who desires to raise their boys into men of God.

The best info on raising boys!!

I bought this book because I have two wonderful boys and want as much wisdom as i can get to raise them. This books teaches much on how the world systems has been built to destroy who God intended them to be. It opened my eyes to be more vigilant. I am hopeful that my son's will be all God has intended.

Buy this book

If traditional values bother you, this isn't the book for you. I thought this book was very insightful and gave many helpful tips to mothers of boys.John S. Roberts is unapologetic with his controversial stances on tough issues and I find that to be a refreshing quality. I like that he doesn't shy away from difficult topics but rather addresses them head on. I will most definitely be recommending this book to others.

Excellent overview of the specific issues

This is a great book. I read it quickly because it was very interesting until the very end. john S. Roberts n has good old fashioned, biblical moral and standards that I completely agree with. I am only 33 but I see such a decline in today's society in parenting and would recommend this book highly.

Parents of boys take note!

Parents of boys take note!If you have one or more boys . . . please take the time to read this book. As with all books, use your own judgement and use the information prayerfully. But you will benefit - and so will your boys - from the information and encouragement in this book. Our boys will face quite a battleground in their lives and will be discouraged from being masculine and leaders, both of which God intended for them to be. Get some weapons under your belt with John S. Roberts experience.

Decent short guide

There are many things you'll learn (or realize how important they are even if you already knew they were true) while reading this book that we'll make you think that for one of those things alone the book is worthwhile. Few things are more important than being the best parent you can be. This book is a great way to work towards that goal.

not quite as the title suggested

I found this book to be quite generic and based around simple partnering strategies as opposed to it being focused on raising boys, not quite what I was after but if your looking for some simple techniques it may be useful.

Really worth recommending!

Love this book. It opened my mind on a few different areas that I didn’t think were that important. Glad I got it and plan on listening to it again a couple times. My wife is now wanting to listen it as well.
