Peace and freedom are what you are and when you let go of trying to control things and give God advice, it puts you into a space where it's irrelevant. Dr. Hawkins explains that the intellect is really our problem, as it is very fast and takes credit for what happens and presumes to be the causal effect. If we can get beyond thinking in terms of a "this" causing a "that", then you don't need to make up a false explanation of why things happen.

One of the many important points that Dr. Hawkins stresses in this lecture is that in order to follow his Pathway of Devotional Non-Duality, your devotion to Truth has to be greater than the devotion to the payoff of being right. When this prevails, one is well on the way to Enlightenment. What keeps the ego in place? It is the pleasure it gets from its positionalities. This 1769 edition is highly sought after due to being more reader/listener friendly than the 1611 since many typos were fixed....
