Another winner from Hallison!

I can't read enough about mediation lately! I recently got into meditation because I have insomnia, and I've read that learning to meditate, including learning breathing/relaxation exercises, can help you get yourself to go to sleep at night, and I have been having great results!

The audiobook is short, but is packed full of useful information about meditation. The book starts by explaining the different types of meditation (e.g., guided, chakra, zen, loving kindness, etc.), and it explains the difference between using meditation for religion, philosophy, or secular purposes, but the book mainly focuses on using Western meditation for purposes of relaxation and relieving stress/anxiety.

This book covers body positions and posture, and tells you about equipment that you can use to supplement your mediation sessions, and also tells you about different tips and tricks for making your sessions more successful. The list of benefits that mediation can bring about are long, and since mediation can be practiced for only minutes per day, it is worth is to learn more.

I thought the narration was excellent. Sheila does not read too fast, and following along was easy, and the recording did not have any perceptible audio issues. I received a copy of this audiobook for free in exchange for a fair and honest review.
