Decent read!

We all read great books without recognizing the knowledge they offer. We move from one book to another hoping for greater knowledge, not realizing what we are actually doing is "entertaining" ourselves. We use it for pleasure. If you really understand this book and not use it for entertainment, you will never need another book. Period.

Decent read!

This book is able to reach out and touch the reader in ways that offer hope and a pathway to climb out of the prison our own minds have held us in for so long. Truly lifesaving information for those struggling for answers to how to take control of their thoughts and feelings and come to a place where life is enjoyable and meaningful and even blissful as is was always meant to be.

Great book!

This book has been profoundly life changing. I am re-reading it now. Singer makes great analogies and relays information in a very accessible manner for modern first world western culture. It is a perfect blend of East and West, ancient wisdom and modern day living. There is a series of talks Singer did on youtube that I've been going through recently to deepen my study/understanding/practice. I highly recommend the book.

Decent read!

I read the audio version of this book multiple times, bought copies of it for clients, and shared it with friends. Never have I read a book that so radically transformed the way I think. It was remarkably freeing to become so aware of how much I allowed my own thoughts to run my life. After reading Kellie's book, I simply allowed irrelevant, erroneous, totally made up thoughts to just float on by without attaching my emotions to them. THAT was freeing!

Brilliantly written. Such a great reminder how life can be lived, if we live in our heart space. I appreciate how the author gives us example stories so we can comprehend it better and it gives us a visual, which helps sink in what he is teaching. Thank you

Wow

An easy read that is full of life lessons! The author has done a great job breaking down how we the mind patterns work and how we can get out of a negative pattern. Practical examples have been used throughout the book making it relevant to day to day life. I cannot put down this book the moment I started reading it!

Five star!

I especially enjoyed his section called 'contemplating death' which contains a beautiful description of the valuable lessons that death teaches us: 'While someone could tell you that you are not your body, death shows you. While someone could remind you of the insignificance of the things that you cling to, death takes them all away in a second. Whlil people an teach you that men and women of all raes are equal and there is no difference between the rich and the poor, death instantly makes us all the same.

Awesome !

This book has some marvelous insights into self-actualization that really resonate with me, and are entirely congruent with my own experiences. Many so-called new age writings talk about how our 'higher self" creates the reality we experience, whether we are conscious of this or not. The notion of 'manifesting' certain outcomes or situations pervades many books. Singer's key observation is that actually we are each present in situations where we actually have nothing to do with what is going on, and acceptance of this is a better starting point for self-discovery.

Great book!

Reading it was a joyful and thrilling experience because most of us seek to be at peace with ourselves and to be always happy in the lives that we live (yes, he does explain well how we can maintain constant happiness in our lives while still experiencing differing thoughts and emotions).
