Peterson's answer to this most difficult of questions uniquely combines the hard-won truths of ancient tradition with the stunning revelations of cutting-edge scientific research. Are you tired of feeling f*cked up? If you are, Gary John Bishop has the answer. In this straightforward handbook, he gives you the tools and advice you need to demolish the slag weighing you down and become the truly unf*cked version of yourself. "Wake up to the miracle you are," he directs. "Here's what you've forgotten: You're a f*cking miracle of being." It isn't other people that are standing in your way; it isn't even your circumstances that are blocking your ability to thrive. It's yourself and the negative self-talk you keep telling yourself.
After Eric Davis spent over 16 years in the military, including a decade in the SEAL teams, his family was more than used to his absence on deployments and secret missions that could obscure his whereabouts for months at a time. Without a father figure in his own life since the age of 15, Eric was desperate to maintain the bonds he'd fought so hard to forge when his children were young - particularly with his son, Jason, because he knew how difficult it was to face the challenge of becoming a man on one's own.
How to enrich your life and destroy doubt in five seconds. Throughout your life, you've had parents, coaches, teachers, friends, and mentors who have pushed you to be better than your excuses and bigger than your fears. What if the secret to having the confidence and courage to enrich your life and work is simply knowing how to push yourself?
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Penguin presents the unabridged downloadable audiobook edition of Make Your Bed, written and read by William H. McRaven.
The incredible number one New York Times best seller.
Make your bed to change the world....
'What starts here changes the world' was the university slogan that inspired William H. McRaven to take charge of the small things that could change his life...and even the world. Here McRaven shares the 10 life-changing principles he learned during his 37 years as a Navy SEAL. These 10 philosophies helped him to overcome challenges not only in his career but also throughout his life. What's more anyone can use these basic lessons to change themselves, and the world, for the better....
Begin each day with a simple task, help one another through life, respect everyone, know that your life won't be fair and that you will fail often, take risks, step up when times are tough, face down the bullies, lift up the downtrodden and never, ever give up.
Do these things, and we will live in a far better world than the one before it....
Told with great humility and optimism, this timeless book provides simple and universal wisdom, practical advice and words of encouragement that will inspire listeners to achieve more even in life's darkest moments.
The lessons are great, short and sweet. The voice is not that easy to listen to.
The whole book is about the speech that went viral, if you liked the speech you will like the details behind it described in the book.
This audiobook is very easy to get through and very inspiring. Small decisions lead to big things.
This book has touched my life and ispired me not to quit my dreams. Thank you!
This is an hour of awesome stuff. Simple and outstanding. Little wonder it is written by a seal- only gold nuggets excellently delivered.
Really enjoyed this book. Very easy to understand and the authors voice really carried the lessons home for me. Wish it was longer. Will no doubt listen to this a few more times
A rare opportunity to absorb the truest and most honest life lessons from a man who had encountered numerous life-and-death situations where he had to make the right decision, because the cost of making the wrong one could be his own life and the life of the men under his command.
The stories presented by the author, provide the reader with a glimpse into the author's life and struggles - a life of a person who never quit and always finishes what he started.
It is rare to encounter such a set of important life lessons in under two hours of listening.
Was having a bed day, so I thought. Well this has made me think differently.
Amazing.
This book and it's author are both inspiring and incredible. I highly recommend it and look forward to listening again!

Would you consider the audio edition of Make Your Bed to be better than the print version?
Any book narrated by the author will have an extra "something" compared to the printed version and this book is no different.
What did you like best about this story?
The short chapters make this an easy book to "dip into".
What about Admiral William H. McRaven’s performance did you like?
The Admiral isn't a trained actor or performer but this adds to the authenticity and enhances his genuine respect for those who have guided and influenced his life.
Any additional comments?
I would like to think one day the Admiral will write a more extensive autobiography and share an insider's view of the World we now live in and it's recent history.

No need for flowery prose when the best lessons are simple.
Accent isn't the easiest at first but coming from the author gave the narrative greater authority.
Once you get to the points of do one task like make your bed and never quit there wasn't much else apart from how hard Seal training is. I felt there was more which could of been told.
This book exceeded my expectations. Not only did I feel inspired and motivated, I knew I was correct with my personal mantra of "Never give up and never give in".
I have changed my viewpoint. Instead of seeing help as a weakness and something to be ashamed of; it's merely teamwork. After all I have to put effort into the process also.
Now I have HOPE and don't feel ashamed and weak because I have to accept help. It is just part of the process of literally getting back on my feet and at the same time increasing my mental toughness.
A big thank you to Admiral William McRaven USN (Retired) for writing this life changing instruction manual. God bless you and your family.
Good listen and motivational story. A little pro USA which was a little bit cringe.
excellent and inspirational, loved listening to it while on my morning runs. Will be listening to it again soon.
Great listen, sound advice with an interesting story from a Navy Seal.

Although it's only a short book, it has a powerful message. There are simple life lessons- mainly about not quitting and accepting that life is not always fair and it's up to you to keep moving forward. Being a good person- a good team guy- will have a positive influence on those around you and on yourself. Really enjoyed the book and the message it delivers. Thank you.
