Was this even edited? Very odd book.
Would you try another book from Steve Stephens and/or Jason Lovett?
No, I would not try another book from this author. Half of the time I'm listening, I have an uncomfortable, scrunched face. It's a very awkward delivery, and more annoyingly, it doesn't even sound like it was edited. Did a native English-speaker write this? It definitely sounded like a non-native-English speaker wrote it without editing. He repeated himself so much that by 30 minutes into it, I was yelling, "You've already said that twice!"
Some of the information seemed way off to me after reading The Art of Raising a Puppy and Be The Pack Leader, two other audio books on this site.
The book was supposed to be specifically about labs but 99% of the information was just general dog information. I bought this to learn about the labrador retriever breed specifically, not about dogs in general. In fact, one time the reader said another dog breed--maybe Doberman or something. A little pet peeve--he rarely uses the word "dog," "lab," or "pup," but insists on saying the full "labrador retriever" every single time he's referring to it. It's surprisingly annoying.
I can't wait for this be over. 22 more minutes. I can do this. (Only finishing because I paid money for it...big mistake).
