Eager to get into this book. Her other book. "Quiet" has transformed our daughter in finally being able to understand she is normal and trying to live in a world of extraverts. Wish we would have had such a resource years ago while she was growing up as I believe it would have made those younger years more enjoyable and given her a bigger leap in life.

So many wonderful things to say about this book. I purchased this for my teenager and listened it before she did so that we could talk about the contents. If you have an introverted child, this is a must book for you AND them.

will be especially helpful to shy

I am a middle school teacher and I wish all my students would read this book, whether an introvert or an extrovert. It is an easy book and will be especially helpful to shy, introverted teens who are trying to navigate their way through school and social settings and still feel comfortable in their own skins.

Quiet is strong, too.

I recommend this book ALL the time. If you are an introvert, married to an introvert or have children who are introverts, this is a MUST read. Warning for those of us who are extroverts however, she is a little bitter towards the way our society celebrates and promotes us.

Parents and kids should listen this!"

I'd recommend this book to parents of teens and the teens themselves. I didn't know I was a introvert when I was a kid and I think it would have been good to know!

Amazing wisdom

Amazing wisdom! His advice and insight is so incredibly simple but profound. I have not found a book This book is a life changing reminder of the power of tuning into one's inner silence. I read a little bit of it every night before sleeping. No more insomnia for me as I listen to my silence and drift into sweet dreams. The book is also helpful for being on purpose to take the time to simply listen to nature. I will keep re-listening this one.

Full of wisdom!

Quick easy read full of wisdom. This summer decided to do the walking meditation every morning. Great way to start my day. Finding silence not just in my environment but also in my mind. Silence creates space to heal, breathe, be present and live a calmer less stressful life. "Realize that silence comes from your heart and not from the absence of talk." Profound and gentle. Highly recommend.

Silence -- Not What You Think

I picked this book because silence was what I was looking for and I found it in this book. It is a book on the subject of mindfulness. To skip to the point, if you have a learning style that requires structure, you can find a better book. If you have a learning style where you pick up things in bursts of activity whenever you can devote time to the subject, you will like this book.

must-listen for introverts.

must-listen for introverts. This is akin to a manual to your personality. Sometimes understanding something makes it much easier to handle. This book helps introvert understand themselves, and their often-maligned traits that are simultaneously disparaged and exploited. This book will help you understand the "why" of how you react to various situations and challenges

Bought book to help my quiet 7 year old and realized this book will help me too. I grew up hearing "speak louder" "is she mute?". As I got older I pretended to be an extrovert to feel like I was "better" and I was trying to make my quiet boy more extrovert so he wouldn't struggle like I did, now I realize there is nothing"wrong " with us.

Interesting book to listen!

Interesting book to listen! As one who regards himself as an introvert in a number of important, if not always obvious, areas, I was very much impressed with the sophisticated manner in which the author informed the reader of the many interesting facets of introverted behavior. Well, I found this book clear, concise, and accurate. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to explore this aspect of personality.
