Publisher's summary

What could be good about a bad marriage?

The good news is that couples can get beyond their old marriage and its destructive habits and build a brand-new one with the same spouse. And they can do it in just 90 days, even if only one spouse is committed to change.

Thousands of couples in marriages that are on the brink of divorce will never enter a therapist's office. For others, it's too late by the time they do agree to come. But for more than 20 years, David Clarke has seen marriages turn around in just three months.

In I Don't Want a Divorce, he takes his practical plan and presents it using wit, Scripture, and personal stories to help couples turn difficult marriages into great ones. Whether the issue is communication, the kids, negative attitudes, or even serious sin, Clarke's personalized approach will put listeners on the road to a great marriage.

Problems? Read it! Then act o. it.

I always recommend this book as well as Leslie Vernick's. Don't help others sin.

Biblical References Abound

This book contains many biblical references and if you believe, you will find it easier to accept and follow these suggestions.
If you are agnostic, atheistic, or non-Christian, then this book will have useful content but you may be annoyed with the authors citations of the Bible.

Great plan, explained very well

I found a lot great information and insights from this plan/book. Dr. Clarke is tough, compassionate, and full of faith.

Wish I had this 30 years ago!

I wish I had read this book 30 years ago and I believe if I had that I would still be married if I had read and applied the principles in the book. It will definitely be one of my go to books for any future relationships down the road.

what do you have to lose?

I can not say yet if these will save my marriage. he has completely checked out. however, I have already done of few of these steps and I have more insight to myself and my healing. I decided to read this book and take these steps in tandem to my trauma therapy. My therapist is really pleased with the progress I am making.

Best applicable tools!

This is one of the best marriage books I’ve listened to. It has great applicable tools to use. Many authors share their stories with generalities, but this book uses great examples and steps to make changes. Highly recommend it!

it isnt that its religious, I'm a Christian. it just is one long monologue from your dad telling you how bad you are.

For Christians

Too religious for me. Stopped listening when the author told wives to "submit to your husbands" based on Biblical authority.
