Sorry, this is just a complete waste of money

For a book that lasts 75 minutes, spending the first 25 bemoaning the 'death of conversation' is just ridiculous. The title is 'how to talk to anyone', not a social commentary! Complete waste of money and the so-called 'tips' are, quite frankly, just common sense...

Effective one.

Awesome and exciting! Well written, but most of all useful for all who would like to brush up their techniques and ideas when dealing with anyone and in just about any situation! It reminds you of simple common sense ideas that most of us know but too many times we forget. You'll want to have this book on hand and refer to it on many occasions! It's also fun to talk about with your friends. Really worth recommending!

I'm terrible at making/maintaining conversation

I'm so thankful for this book! My goodness, I'm terrible at making/maintaining conversation, I'm that shy friend and generally I just suck at this type of thing. This book is great, not only did it provided me information to overcome my shyness but also helped me improve my communication skills and body languages. Communication is very important, it's the key to build a great relationship, a great communication skill will also help you make your business deals successful. Great book, 10/10 would recommend

Simple easy practices for conversation

What does Adam Lisicky bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

An excellent performance of narration.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listen in 2 sittings..

Any additional comments?

Most, if not all, of the suggestions provided were things I have heard before. However they were presented well and expanded upon in several places with further scenarios and/or reasoning points of view differing from past insights. Plus, everyone can use a well spoken refresher course in conversation skills at least annually.

Learning to talk to anyone is a process!

It is a challenge for me in a group to open up because I'm not used to it. I'm afraid that I'm might end up having a hanging conversation to a person. In my field, it is important to talk every now and then because I'm a businesswoman proposing business proposal with the big bosses in the town and I should learn how to communicate properly in order to close a deal. I enjoy learning new things from this book and hoping to inspire more!

Tips towards the end of this book.

Disliked going over the history of loss of conversational skills in the first couple of chapters. The title of the book is suggestive of practical tips, which are there, but, towards the end of the book. The preamble to get to the point spoiled this for me. Would recommend going to the actual section on tips for someone new to this topic.
