What disappointed you about How to Stick With Your Diet and Exercise Program?
This wasn't as much a program to help one learn to "Stick With Your Diet" as it was Kelley reading her masters thesis. There was nothing new and most of her material was just a rehash of ideas cited in the main stream media and on T.V. talk shows. More often than not her cited authorities were people like Dr Phil and Doctor Oz, which made it hard for me to take her seriously. She did a poor job of reading her book and had trouble pronouncing some of the words. Kelley may be a great motivator in person or one on one, but nothing in this Audible book would lead me to believe that.
Has How to Stick With Your Diet and Exercise Program turned you off from other books in this genre?
Sadly, no one can teach willpower or perseverance in a book.

It taught me how easy it is for an author to make a promise in a title and how hard it is to deliver on that promise in the text or performance.

As a prior reviewer said, it sounds like she is just reading her thesis. Consequently it is riddled with abbreviations, too technical information and is not easily applicable to ones own life and situations.
As a small point, she also has difficulty pronouncing the very words she has written. Her narration then becomes a distraction as she struggles with her OWN words.

Lost 20 pounds!

Dr. Lyn Kelley really knows what she’s talking about! I’ve known her for over 10 years and I can tell you she practices what she preaches. I’m amazed (as are all her friends, colleagues and family) at her dedication and commitment to her own diet and exercise program. She exercises almost every day and is always planning her next healthy meal. Where does her motivation come from? You’ll find out in this book! I’ve tried many of her ideas and they really do work. Before I got this audiobook I was 20 lbs heavier than I am now. This is a MUST read for anyone who has had difficulty sticking with their diet or exercise program!
