High standard of living on a modest fixed income

Where does How to Retire on a $1000 Monthly Budget rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is the best audiobook I have listened to on retirement because it addresses the concern of keeping a great standard of living and what is to be expected on a fixed pension, social security, military pension, etc. If you like eating out, swimming, boating, fishing at the beach or marina or going to events like concerts, sporting events and Broadway type shows, this book will show you a valuable and convenient options based on your modest fixed income. Overseas living in places like Panama and Belize with good programs is really not an option for most Americans and Canadians. If someone could show you how you could get similar benefits in America, would you still uproot your family and still go overseas? As you will see, your drivers license, state I.D. or military I.D. will be your ticket to most of those same benefits but in America.

What was one of the most memorable moments of How to Retire on a $1000 Monthly Budget?

The different programs available to locals. The free shows! Some of those tickets can cost over $200 each.

Which scene was your favorite?

Everyone thinks about the strip in Vegas, but the surrounding area like Boulder Beach and the Marina area at Lake Mead have a lot to offer swimmers, boaters and fisherman.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, It makes you think about standard of living and comparing retirement locations.

Any additional comments?

Great to listen to.
