Engaging speaker, but light on content

Very simple concepts, but not much content, details or techniques.

Set specific goals, write them down and commit.
1)Fear of failure
2)Self perception and feeling you deserve to meet your goals
3)Focus on the present task (Dont worry about other things)
4)Help others get what they want

He also aligns materialism with Christianity.

A Must Have!

This is Zig at his best! This is an earlier recording that I believe is more motivating than most. As Zig got older, he slowed down in his speech and excitement. The content was still there but not at the same level of excitement.

Very Motivational

This was a great listen. You've got to love Zig! His stories and humor mix nicely with his simple message. I subscribe to his philosophy of making small, incremental changes that eventually lead to a long-term success habit.

7 Habits and The Toyota Way are my next listens!

Good stuff, Zig!

He is Gone but his message lives on.

Would you listen to How to Get What You Want again? Why?

I have many times and will again.

What other book might you compare How to Get What You Want to and why?

I am sure there are other books of this type, Zig was just first class.

Which character – as performed by Zig Ziglar – was your favorite?

My number one Zig character is the decided red head.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Want and have.

Any additional comments?

If you are looking to be inspired then you can't go wrong with anything from Zig.

This is a Speech, not a Book

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Difficult to say. Zig made some good points in this recorded speech, but I wasn't particularly moved to do anything. There are no steps given to "get what you want."

Has How to Get What You Want turned you off from other books in this genre?

I wouldn't say it turned me off. I just need to make sure I'm listening to an actual book, not a speech.

What three words best describe Zig Ziglar’s voice?

Motivational speaker

Do you think How to Get What You Want needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Yes. A follow-up book would provide more depth to this hour long speech.
