An extraordinary book on listening and speaking!

This book is amazing! Breaks down speaking, listening, content creation and more. People who don't like this book or give this book less than 5 stars obviously are not listening to the words in the book. If you apply what is said in this book you will not only increase your ability to actually listen and hear other people, but you will also enhance your ability to speak clearly and effectively. I'm going back through this book over and over as its full of gold nuggets on speaking and effective listening.

Heard... Hard to

Great book. Interesting content. But a book about sound and quality that I had to turn way up? Production quality went against the content.

Very insightful and applicable information

Very easy to listen to and contains lots of practical information you can apply to daily life right away.

Wow! A must read in so many aspects!

I loved listening to this book! I expected to learn skills for speaking more effectively in personal conversations. Julian delivers and gives so much more, even public speaking. His lists and strategies are easy to digest and put right practice in your life and message.

Quality listen

Really good listen that brings a lot of new information on the table regarding the art of music and listening. You will have some new hearing perspectives after finishing this book and you will not regret the time taken that is for sure. I recommend this.

Misleading title, long winded

A rambling book meant for entertainment not instruction. More about sound than communication. Not recommended.

The sound of silence of this was stunning

Fantastic. I now have a whole new perspective on sound and how it influences us. Very informative, well structured and practical advice. Definitely warrants a second or third listen.
The voice quality is superb, except for the remote interviews at the end but that can’t be helped.
I’m all ears for more from this author.

Listening THEN Speaking = Communication

This book was so much more than I expected. Julian covers the complete process of how to listen and how to be heard. Oh, if everyone could read this and apply it, what a wonderful world it would be.

Insightful and comprehensive

This book covered most all aspects of listening and being heard. I am thankful for learning aspects of listening that I never thought about and it makes me more aware of my surroundings and of myself as I communicate day to day! Thank you!
