An Absolute Essential for Those Looking to Publish

This book was a quick crash course for anyone looking to publish their first book or authors/writers that aren't going where they think they should be. I actually listened to this book twice and thought the information was great. I was surprised about the things that I learned while listening.

One of the many things I learned included working with publishers and how to avoid predatory practices. I had never considered (at least) half of the things covered in the book.

I would definitely recommend this book for any novice authors, writers, or those looking to publish.

The narrator was good and I have very few complaints. There were a few places I thought the tone might have been wrong, but it was a good overall performance.

I requested and received a free copy of this audiobook from the author, publisher, or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review. I was NOT required to write a positive review and this reflects my honest opinion of the work.

A lot to take in

I am very interested in publishing more books. I find there is so much out there it is very hard to know what is good to know and what is crucial to know. This is not a book you listen to and set aside but rather one you take in small measure as you go so as not to over look the value of what your getting. One I shall definitely refer back to as I go. I received this book at no charge in exchange for an honest review.

Where was this when I was starting out?!?

You'll want the paper copy, too, as this is absolutely jam-packed with information you'll want to flag and refer to again and again. I know I'll be grabbing one and a pack of post-it flags so I can dog ear a hard copy for quick reference.

The author cheerfully admits she leans toward non-fiction, but this contains more than sufficient genre fiction information to make it well worth the price.

Every beginning author out there should buy a copy and devour the chapter on frauds and scams. That's worth the price of admission alone.

Experienced authors, there's plenty out there for you as well. Walking through the process to get Library of Congress numbers to get into libraries was totally new for me. As was the clear compare and contrast between CreateSpace and Ingram offerings.

I'll be listening to this again and again and bookmarking the chapters that will make a world of difference for me. Clear narration makes it very easy to listen to. My biggest frustration was the lack of red lights on the commute home to stop and take notes. That'll teach me to listen in the car.

Fabulous resource. I'm thrilled to get my hands on a copy.

To-do list that empowers and emboldens

Easy to digest advice covering as many aspects of publishing as I can think of. Super helpful tips from someone whose knowledge of the subject demands your respect, even though I had never heard of her before.

If you are thinking of writing or publishing, this book will spare you some level of heartache and may just give you that nudge of self confidence to actually put the pen to the page.

Narration was spot on. Production quality was first rate. Excellent book for those interested in the subject
