Publisher's summary

Everything in life serves a greater purpose. Take the mighty oak, for example. It serves much more than just its own needs; it literally serves the whole of nature. It's a nesting place and home for countless birds and insects. It's a source of valuable shade on hot summer days. And it supplies us all with life-giving oxygen. In short, the Oak plays a vital role in helping nature to sustain and perfect her creations, which is one of the many greater purposes it serves. No matter where you look in nature, you'll find this exact same relationship.

But what about in our individual lives? What about those tough problems and crises that show up from time to time? What purpose do they serve? It takes a long time to realize it, but even the most difficult moments in our lives are intended to serve a greater purpose - a much greater purpose. In fact, their real purpose extends far beyond the circumstances of any particular problem.

Unfortunately we live in a culture that has lost sight of this one great purpose. And because we don't understand what it is, when those really big challenges come our way, we find ourselves pushing away what life wants to give us. We actually find ourselves not wanting our own life. Fortunately, we have an undiscovered power that can literally transform the way we relate to these difficult moments and, in the process, transform our entire experience of life.

When you finally discover what life has been trying to give you - what it's been trying to accomplish through these moments - your life will never be the same. And instead of feeling troubled and anxious over what life brings, you'll find yourself living with a relaxed ease and willing spirit unlike anything you've ever known.

Not Bad

This was not a bad book, though I have more or less heard most of the message that is in this book in one way or another he did end up giving me some new pictures to refer back to in my head and a new spin on things is always good to help keep things moving the way they are suppose to! My only issue is it is a little preachy but I guess it is a seminar type thing rather then a book but it was still pretty good.
