Publisher's Summary

Learn to focus more deeply and intentionally!

In this world, in this 21st century, it is becoming harder and harder to stay focused. Distractions have increased, and technology and commercial advertising have not helped us much. We find ourselves in a constant battle between shifting our attention and allowing ourselves to be "caught" by the things of the moment. Where is the balance? How can we choose what we want to pay attention to? This is exactly the theme of this elaborate book. You will learn, for instance:

  • How social media, devices, and other technology have influenced our attention span
  • The value of paying attention to something or someone specifically
  • The definition and benefits of deep focus
  • How disorders such as ADD, autism, and schizophrenia are related to the ability to concentrate
  • A list of external and internal distractions you need to deal with in life to keep your eyes on your target
  • Specific tips and exercises to help you increase your attention span and train your brain
  • Different types of attention, all with their own pros and cons, and how to balance them out to reach optimal happiness and success
  • Thoughts on creativity, the "bigger picture", and tunnel vision

Begin listening now and help yourself train your brain the right way.

Helpful list and tips

Any additional comments?

There is nothing earth-shattering new here, but nothing off the wall either. If you are looking for deep psychological explanations for improving you focus, that is not what this book is about. But if you are looking for a short list of helpful suggestions, you will probably find this book to be of help. It's a very quick listen. I heard it in a single sitting.

The first few chapters were clear and insightful enough to give the book 5 stars. The book is organized into chapters. These effective strategies and exercises will improve your learning. You'll be excited to see your productivity and efficiency increase dramatically allowing you to laser in on tasks. I've been studying the topic of focus rather intently recently, trying to find new thinking in the area. This book breaks training down into easy-to-understand modules. It starts from the very beginning of the science of concentration and how to improve it, so you can get great results - and be less distracted!<br/>

Concentration is the key word

When listening this book, people will find some valuable information about concentration, how body and mental exercises can help being concentrated, and therefore, more productive during working hours.I found it really interesting. I especially liked the fact that this book suggests that short breaks between activities, a good night sleep and practicing sports helps people focusing on their activities every day. I liked those ideas especially because I agree 100% with them.

This book covers a lot of ground offering different techniques for different situations. Each chapter is clear and concise - no fillers. This book is an easy read which I highly recommend for any one who is serious about making positive changes in their life.

The ideas shared are practical and sensible. While most are commonly known, this book provides a good single reference to get back on track.

Good and concise.

Good, concise way explaining techniques to retain focus. Its a quick read and presents enough information to act on. Its better than elaborate books that keep circling on a topic. Hits the nail on the head. Recommended for anyone who wants to jump into learning or rather realizing these techniques without much elaboration.

This book will show you how.....

Whenever people lose focus at work or school, they tend to scatter their energy and create more problems than solve them. As I recall, this book gave an advice that presence of mind is important. Gain more focus on your daily tasks with the help of this book and see that you hold control even tough situations.

Find the confidence you need

If you're as easily distracted as I am, this book will be a lifesaver. There is a lot of information packed into this book and just picking out a few of the concentration tips to practice will help anyone who's having trouble focusing. The book also goes into how to improve your learning capacity. While the examples given in the book seem to be geared towards student, I think anyone who needs to learn new material on a regular basis will still find the book useful.

Great tips to improve productivity.

I work at home, and get easily distracted by Facebook and instagram, and I am procrastinating on my work quite often. So I though I should improve my focus and bought this booklet to help me. It's a very simple guide, but comes with some very valuable exercises to help grow focus, and some helpful tips too. Everything sounds simple, but quite effective. So I am going to try it!
