Being an old soul empath I was sure Christiane was writing about my life; and of course she was. I love the presentation and the techniques she has taught... they are invaluable to the empath! Thank you so much.

great read and new perspectives

dr. Northrup does a great job reading the book. The ideas are new, and surfacing in different places now. I feel that more and more people are becoming awakened to the fact that they could be lightworkers. She does a great job with helping us realize the different ways that we can be drained of energy as well as what to do about it. In addition, as a physician myself, I feel a kinship to her since I to believe in a lot of things and talked about a lot of things that she talks about. So there is some selection bias for this book!

Energy vampires = Narcissistic People

Honestly this book moves along well, the stories are great and Doctor Christine Northop gives insight to all the energy draining and narcissistic people in your life and how to deal with them and the situations. I feel like you will read this and be like how did she know... its amazing and life changing. I loved it so much that I attended the webinar on hay house. If you are plagued by narcissists and just plain old energy sucking vampires , then you want this book... trust me , this book opened my eyes...

I wish I had read this instead of another book

Before I got sucked into a relationship with a very talented energy vampire. Man, I even got fat! Yep! He stayed skinny and gorgeous. He was hell bent on destroying me and I spent years trying to detach from him. His suicide threats began early on and I would have known right then. He got me: hook! Line! And sinker! Thank you for writing this book!

The truth about these Vampires is told

When I began my training in Celtic Shamanism I wore all kinds of crystals and such to protect against energy vampires. As the class progressed I wore less and less. Then my teacher gave a talk on the true of energy vampires and it was life changing! I began to see them for what they were and the traps! Years later this book comes along and I read it. It has helped fill in all the gaps I had. Like why I kept wanting to go back to the vampires. Why they’re the way they are. Why we as a society support them until we can’t or won’t. Then there are all the steps to stopping them. The greatest way is simply walking away! If you are looking for what people call the esoteric method of shifting aura colors/patterns around you you’ll need to go elsewhere. I know people who do this and trust me when I say it doesn’t help! They still get the vampires they just don’t realize it’s their time being taken and not energy. Vampires as described here are a wide range of people who steal energy in so many forms I can’t put them all here. I get what she is saying and I am grateful I read this book!

When you read this book you will get clear definitions of what an energy vampire is with examples. You will be taken if you allow through the people in your life to identify the energy vampires in your life. Once you know who is what type of energy vampire you will then go through the steps outlined in the book if you wish to detach from them. You will also come to understand how you create them including our own children, spouses and family to feel/want to be needed!
