Publisher's summary

Prior to stepping onto the battlefield with a Narcissist, it is imperative to know their playbook both forwards and backwards. The behavior of individuals with Narcissistic Personality Disorder generally defies logic but sadly, their tactics in the Family Court System often fool Judges, Commissioners, Attorneys, Minor's Counsel, Social Workers, Therapists, and even trained Evaluators. Narcissists are the masters of manipulation and projection and are known to launch stealth assaults that will leave their victims in an utter state of confusion and desperation. Victims are often left shattered and without a voice because they feel that no one could possibly believe or understand what they are silently enduring.

Author Tina Swithin understands what it's like to divorce a narcissist. Tina spent over four years on the battlefield of the Family Court System while acting as her own attorney in a desperate attempt to protect her two young daughters. While Tina's first book, Divorcing a Narcissist: One Mom's Battle details Tina's personal journey and court battle, her new book offers solid advice and sanity-saving wisdom for transforming from victim to survivor. Education is power and Divorcing a Narcissist: Advice from the Battlefield is your personal guide and resource for navigating through high-conflict divorce. Receive advice for every stage of the battle from leaving the Narcissist and choosing an attorney to tactical moves and courtroom preparation.

Malignant toxic narcissist

There are no words to express the gratitude I have that this book exists and that Tina shared her story. Education is power - and when the abusive narcissistic is a professor and director at prestigious universities, who scorches the earth during the deadly COVID19 pandemic because his wife physically escaped him to lut an end to the violent abuse, it is a terrorizing isolating and dangerous time. More needs to be done for court systems to understand this silent violent abuse; just as much as more needs to be done about stalking, harassment and technology tampering to hunt and prey on victims. More needs to be done for universities to stop protecting predatory professors, abusive tenured faculty who abuse their power and control and trusted positions.
No know is above the law - yet malignant toxic narcs think and act above the law and are enabled and allowed. Even if a woman miscarried twice due to her husbands violent narkie abuse - this book is still for you because you would have been a mom, and for a short moment - you were a mom.

The true colors of malignant narcissists always come through. Thank you Tina for these reminders and courage. ❤️

Life changing!

Living in this chaos not understanding what was going on has been a nightmare. Reading this book was like reading about my own life. It flipped a switch in my brain that made me realize that there is a way out. It will take time and plenty more pain, but there is life on the other side of this. That gives me hope.

Absolutely Wonderful Book!

As a therapist, I will be recommending this book to my clients going through a difficult divorce. It offers much to feel a sense of empowerment

The only struggle I had was a lack of pause or any change of voice tone by the narrator, to indicate that the story was now about actual people's examples and not the author's own. I found myself lost for quite awhile until I figured that out. However, the peaceful tone of voice by the reader was perfect and pleasant. I enjoyed this book tremendously, both personally and professionally.

I’m not alone

This book narrates from start to finish what it’s like to divorce a dangerous person.
Having suffered abuse as a girl and marrying a man that became abusive and narcissistic it was lonely and terrifying to begin my divorce battle. I was naive and thought the court system would protect my children. This was not the case. Tina’s story is so similar to mine. It is so reassuring to know you are not alone! I too have been in court pro per for the last 7 years. I now have sole physical custody with supervised 4 hr visits. I am now having to return for sole legal custody as cfs has opened their 3rd case against father. I am so grateful for Tina’s community and the work she has dedicated to helping children and the parents that are doing everything to keep their children safe. This book describes what it’s like beginning to end. She notes the signs you will see when you are dating a narcissist all the way to the games they play to “win” their divorce no matter the damage it does to the kids or anyone else. This book is a must for anyone who thinks they might want to leave a marriage with a person that displays narcissistic traits and behavior.

Excellent read and support for NPD victims

Having gone through a divorce in 1980's from a dangerous man and his family who used and ab used our daughter in child pornography, I am happy this book is available but sad that as of 2013 the whole child welfare system is still as broken as it was back then.

I can't begin to tell you how truly thankful I am to have come across this book! I am in the middle of a custody suite with a individual who counseled me to terminate my pregnancy. I chose not to! The blessing that has come out of that situation is one I will NOT stop fighting to keep out of harm's way. This book has helped to uplift my FAITH during a time when the GOOD LORD knows I need it most. THANK YOU just doesn't seem to be enough! FOR you have aided in being a pillar of strength as I get ready for trial with the N. I am scared beyond words, but refuse to let N know. thus year had been a challenging year as my company closed many locations one of which was mine, so I lost my job, yet this thing called life still requires to be paid for. I have legal fees, college tuition for my oldest and I am the sole provider for our daughter. I have court this week as he has failed to return documents due within 30 days. In addition final trial is a week later. I will loose everything I have , but I will not lose our angel and subject her to the harms of N. Thank you for your words of wisdom. Praying for you and yours and all parents in a situation where N is involved.
Tame care and God Bless!
