Bad soundquality. Bad narrator.

Sorry, but it is my opinion. This smells of someone being cheap. whoever recorded this has no idea what they are doing and has poor recording equipment. it sounds like the narrator is speaking through a metal pipe. on top of that the narrator has some really unnatural way of reading. weird tonation and pausing. i just can't listen to this. at least pay for a soundengineer and a proper studio next time.

Great information not great as an audio book.

I don't write reviews very often but I felt like this one needed a buyers point of view. This series contains a lot of really good information. I would definitely recommend the print version, then you could refer to the recipes and see the names of the ingredients. I am not new to audio books, I have been a gold member for years. I love the accents in stories such as Outlander; however this time I found the narrator distracting and very difficult to understand in some areas. I am familiar with soap making but there were a few new ingredients that I could not understand through her thick accent. I didn't realize how difficult it would be to go back and find a specific recipe because the chapters are numbered but without names and descriptions it is difficult to go back and find specific information. The audio quality was very different from the other books I have purchased. This one had a sort of far away echoey sound that for me just compounded the already somewhat annoying narrator.
