Not impressed

Would you try another book from David De Las Morenas and/or David De Las Morenas?

Not after suffering through this one.

What could David De Las Morenas have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

TELL the story instead of READING the story that is supposedly your own words.

What didn’t you like about David De Las Morenas’s performance?

Quick monotone delivery. He comes across as a young, know-it-all braggart instead of someone who his trying to share lessons with his listeners.

Worth a listen

This is the second piece I've read by the author. It seems to me Morenas is a part of an ever growing group of young guys like Patrick King, Greg Greenway, and others who have spun off the pick up movement. They've adopted the business/lifestyle model and elevated it to help take men (and a hand full of keen women) to the next phase of social evolution.

In this book Morenas is on a path of self discovery and improvement. I imagine the content and writing will continue to improve as he continues to grow as a leader. The interjection of unnecessary swear words to relate to his audience and his strength on certain opinions was a bit dissuasive at times. I appreciate his analogies even if occasionally long winded. The meat of his book is quite good and, perhaps for some, a bit thought provoking as well.

While I don't agree with all the thoughts and beliefs the author puts forward I didn't need to. He kept his personal politics at bay for the most part, which some authors severely struggle with, and there were a number of great take aways I can incorporate into my life. Some of the material acted as good reminders of many things I've let slip away and some was new and fresh. The advice being put forward is, in my opinion, solid. There are a handful of people I would love to hand this book to right now if I thought they would listen. As a young author and leader Morenas shows great potential.

You'll get more from the seven habits of highly effective people

I felt his book approached life from a, "get them before they get you" approach. We've seen enough bad mannered people in life hiding behind a false facade.

Horrible book

This is a very unprofessional book. The author uses the same analogies through out the book. Girlfriend, job, workout....... he has obviously not had much life experience! He also curses quite a bit which is not offensive to me just shows a lack of vocabulary depth. Nothing of any value taken from this book. Sorry Dave.

Don’t get the audiobook

I listened to The Book Of Alpha, which was narrated by someone one else and the narrator was energetic, spoke using dynamics and enthusiastic, so I bought this audiobook, narrated by David himself, all due respect, but David sounds monotonous, boring, and he was speed reading. I’m 12 mins into it and I just want to turn it off. Waste. Get the kindle!

Stay Open!!!

I love that he touched and focused on STAYING open. Personally, I've struggled with this and I will testify that closing yourself has physical repercussions. Don't do this to yourself. Please. Life is so much lovelier when your open!! Keep expanding my fellow HUMANS. You're worthy!

Food for the brain

Great content, only suggestion would be to cut down on the swearing it could put some of your listenrrs off and is unnecessary.
