Publisher's summary

An ideal starting point for those interested in Buddhism, Being Peace contains Thich Nhat Hanh's teachings on peace and meditation.

Using real examples from his own life as well as poems and fables, Nhat Hanh explains his key practices for living "right in the moment we are alive". These lessons are taught with fine writing and sparkling phrases that draw the listener in and make Being Peace an audiobook that encourages multiple listenings.

Beautiful being

Thich Nhat Hanh’s teachings embody all that is in life. He doesn’t shy away from anything, but sees the way to peace through our pain and suffering. To embrace the pain, suffering, & anger along with the love, compassion, & peace is a foreign concept to me but trusting Thay’s teachings and experience I have begun to identify with and embrace all of me and in turn all of humanity.
I have touched peace for the first time in my life.

It was very deep and introspective, it hit me on multiple levels and I had to listen in pieces to absorb it full especially because it was so impactful. I highly recommend it. I downloaded two other books by him after this.

A practical guide to skillful, conscious living

Be aware that the essays in BP are not fluffy or feel-good. In fact, the need for activism and "engaged buddhism" are key themes, and the reader is challenged both to be peace and to do good in the world. In particular, this book is a must-read for parents and parents-to-be.
