Informative, and Empowering

Short, but powerful, important words. helpful info for those who struggle with passivity, and are aiming to be respectfully assertive. This book can be listened to several times to let the ideas sink in. It encourages practice, and that there is a learning curve. It make take time and trial and error to master assertiveness. We are all worth it!

Crisp with examples

I liked the way author boiled down assertiveness to one word RESPECT & the 10 assertions to practice.

Great information for each aspect of life

The book was well written and is laid out in an organized manner. There was plenty of advice on being assertive in various relationships to include, work, family, personal relationships and even car dealerships! Some of the dialogue is annoying and plenty of the content is borrowed from other books, but overall, a decent read and I don't regret the purchase.

Well Written, Well Narrated, Informative

If you could sum up Assertiveness in three words, what would they be?

Everyone Should Listen

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite section was the Bill of Rights of Assertiveness. It made me realize the obligation I felt to talk, act, and respond to people a certain way was unfounded and that I no longer needed to feel controlled by that obligation.

Any additional comments?

I believe this program would benefit a wide range of listeners, even confident, self-assured individuals, because it provides sound advice and guidance on the proper way to communicate with others and how to get what you want by creating win-win with others.

Very Useful advice

This book has very useful and helpful advice. The most important thing I have is the difference between being assertive and aggressive. Assertive is starting what you want while being respectful of others. That's a lesson I will apply.

Empowering and practical

This is a short but quite practical audiobook on assertiveness. It makes me reflect on my own experiences and somehow subconciously start implementing the principles straight away. Good narration. Worth reading and rereading!
