I found the reader believable

One reader said that the reader was "careless". I found him to be believable. To me his voice embodied the voice of the 1940s alcoholic who was once self centered and ego driven. Somehow across the decades he is now sharing how he became willing to accept his powerlessness over alcohol and the steps he took...

The message is timeless and I am grateful to have the "big book" on audio -

This book has helped myself and my Husband so much

What did you love best about Alcoholics Anonymous - Big Book - Original Edition?

We have been sober for over 15 years. We have been familiar with the big book, but we are not very good about reading. We have learned so much about ourselves from listening to this book. He follows along with the book he has had for years. He listens to it over and over. There is so much that he missed over the years when we did not have the audio version. I recommend this book if you struggle with alcohol or are close to someone who does. You will be able to identify with the stories in the book I am sure. We recommend it to anyone who perfers to listen instead of reading.

Original !!

They had to be able to find someone who can pronounce simple words with proper punctuation to narrate this great book

Narrarator needs a new job

What did you like best about Alcoholics Anonymous - Big Book - Original Edition? What did you like least?

Great book, terrible narration. Filled with errors.

Would you be willing to try another book from BN Publishing? Why or why not?

No.

What aspect of Jason McCoy???s performance would you have changed?

The guy needs to learn how to read. An absolutely abysmal job.

Any additional comments?

There are so many errors in the narration of this book, a new version should be released.

Recording needs work

The book is nearly a century old so there are going to be issues with vocabulary and sexism just due to time period. This recording, however, really needs work.
