Publisher's summary

The final, haunting novel, in the extraordinary story that has enthralled millions!

The horror began with Flowers in the Attic, the terrifying tale of four innocent children locked away from the world by a cruel mother.

The shocking fury continued with Petals on the Wind and If There be Thorns. Now V.C. Andrews has created the last dark chapter in the strange, chilling tale of passion and peril.

Reader

I wasn’t a fan of the reader, Joy. Her voice is so monotone and it is easy to lose interest. Also, her trying to speak in a male voice was unappealing and all the men sounded mean and cold. Chris is not mean or cold so I cringed hearing her say his lines. I will no longer listen to any books read by her. It totally ruined the mental image the book implies. Since this is the 4th book and anyone who had read the whole series knows what I’m talking about.

very good not as good as the last

I'm still gonna give it 5 stars but if I could give the last book 10 stars I would.

Wish more V.C Andrews books were Audio!

I have read this book 5 times in my life this was the first time listening to it. To actually hear the narrator's voice as Cathy really helped me get into it more than I had before. Thank you for putting V.C Andrews books into Audio just wish a few more of them were.

Performance Could Have Been Better

I only complaint (if it’s a complaint at all) is I wish the female narrator performed the female parts & the male narrator did all the male parts, not just come in at the “epilogue”. He would’ve made a much better Christopher, Bart, Jory & definitely Joel. The female narrator did very good with the female parts I believe it would’ve made the story much intriguing to hear a male voice speak when a male is talking.
Joel’s creepy voice shouldn’t sounded as creepy and as sinister as John Amos from “If There Be Thorns”.
Overall, good audiobook.

Sad to be finished…

Tragic yet heartwarming story through this series. The narrator made me feel as if I were there.

All the memories of the first read

Love the series. Read the books in the mid 1980s. Same emotional story as the original read. Love the story

BROKE MY HEART OVER AND OVER AGAIN!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I love VC Andrews, and yes, I would recommend her writing...

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

This whole series does...and I have read it, time and time again...

Have you listened to any of Joy Osmanski’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but I would...

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

They did...and it was ok...but to really feel this book..you have to experience it ALL...and the only way you can is to read it, every word...or listen...to me it is the same..

Any additional comments?

Oh I cried, I cried and my heart ached...Cathy and Chris tried..they really tried to be the best people they could...they were basically programmed from a very young age into the life they were to have...Yes the love they shared was forbidden by societies standards, but it was pure...it was true, and they shared a beautiful life together. They raised a decent family, even though t wasn't perfect, they did what made them happy and had what other people dream of in each other. I thought this was an excellent book, and even though it broke my heart..I know I will visit my Dresden dolls again...maybe I wont wait 25yrs this time...
