After a bad breakup, she was in a car accident, and she lost her sight through blunt force trauma to her face. She should have counted her blessings, she knew that. She could have lost her life. But suddenly, everything is drenched in black. She knows the beauty of the world is out there, but she can't reach it. And now she hates her life, no matter how hard her friends and her father are trying to help her live again.

When her father hires a caregiver to look after her, Bree is furious. She needs her sight back, not a babysitter. And damned if she's not going to spend every minute resenting it all and hating her life.

Prequel

Bree and Luke

This is a quick short listen. The narrator did a good job, just wished she gave the characters their own voice. This does end in a cliffhanger. Bree is a stubborn woman who after an accident has left her blind and she has been wallowing and depressed. Luke is new in town trying to get away from his mother who constantly needs him. He is a nurse and finds himself hired to be Bree's caretaker. Love how Luke refuses to put up with her attitude and ranting. I enjoyed it and look forward to the next part.
