Ray Sedecki is being pursued by Jesus and Ray does not like it. Ray does not understand a God of love who allows bad things to happen to good people. When Ray is thrust into a new position at work, he meets a young woman named Rebecca, whom he immediately falls in love with. This results in a dilemma of epidemic proportions (at least in Ray's mind).

Ray wants no part of Christianity, yet wants to be a big part of Rebecca's life. But she draws a solid line in the sand. No Jesus/No Rebecca. Thus begins a series of events where Ray is forced to come to grips with life. Told from Ray's perspective, the story has humor, and tragedy, and heart. It is a reminder of God's redeeming love for all of us, through the good times and the bad.

Sedecki's Dilemma is the winner of the Ignite the Fire Contest, 2024, in the marriage/romance category.

Reseñas de la Crítica

"Every author attempts to be original, but few attain it. Sedecki's Dilemma is one of those delights, a "hole-in-the-wall" literary treasure. Geiser's debut novel presents the story of one man's religious journey, which at first glance seems commonplace but the more you read, the more its impact lingers, demanding another visit. But beyond the intrigue, which gains energy in each chapter, Geiser's greatest impact is his subtle use of apologetics. Every human is destined for a crisis of faith and Sedecki's Dilemma treats it with an urgency that is compelling but not preachy. This is a must-read." —Clint Letterman, Senior Pastor, Auberry Community Church, and Author, The In-Between

I really enjoyed this story of love and heartbreak, tragedy and loss, and redemption. I found myself laughing out loud at times, and enjoyed the author's wit. I was also impressed with the narrator's ability to move from one character to the next. I look forward to more stories!

I have now “read” Sedecki’s Dilemna twice; once in paperback and once through audible. I am happy to say that I enjoyed it for different reasons both times. In print I found it to be a quick, easy read with likable characters, and a clear storyline, with twists and turns along the way. It includes thought provoking issues, depicting the real life tension felt when wrestling with the unjust, the unfair and the hurts of life that can cause one to ask, “Where is God?” or “How can a good God allow such heartbreak and evil?” Sedecki is an endearing character with self-deprecating humor and I thoroughly enjoyed reading his conversations with himself and following his journey to Christ. The audiobook was a pleasant surprise. I have attempted one other book in audible recently and had a hard time with the voice of the reader, so I stopped. I found this to be different with Sedecki’s Dilemna on Audible. The reader, Casey Claiborne, has an easy-to-listen-to voice, with a very likable and friendly tone. I thoroughly enjoyed listening and picked up different things I missed in the first reading. Worth the listen!
