Jennifer Hardwick loves everything about Ramsey, New York, the small town to which she recently moved. Divorced, with grown children, she’s happy on her own in a little house near the high school where she teaches math.

Her new friends at the school talk her into taking part in the town’s “Romance Roundup,” a speed-dating event that’s part of the Ramsey Valentine’s Faire.
