Short but sweet story
This is obviously a continuation of a story, almost like an epilogue. Since it's Book 1, it introduces a fascinating array of characters that I'm looking forward to learning more about.
The writing is rich, as always with Adams, and I got into the characters right away which can be harder to do with a shorter tale. I'll now search out the story that came before this one. The narrator was a little stilted, but some of that might have come from the time period. It didn't take away from the story though.
