When federal prosecutors started sniffing around for potential crimes, he went from carefree club owner to undercover spy in a heartbeat.

To obtain maximum leniency for his insurance fraud, Blutrich became an unlikely but highly successful undercover FBI informant. He wore body wires and placed ceiling cameras in his offices, and he was eventually credited with more than 30 Mafia convictions, including a crime-family head and associates from multiple international families.

For his cooperation, the Department of Justice and the FBI assured him he would avoid any significant jail time - or so they said.

Here, Blutrich tells it all: recording armed gangsters in the act of committing felonies, stealthily evading discovery, living with death threats, revealing long-covered-up celebrity doings, enduring a psychotic break from the pressures, and losing everything in his life in the name of earning redemption.

You can't put it down or stop listening! A true NYC crime story with such a twist.

This book has it all. Action, Drama and Guts!

I was on the edge of my seat while listening through every chapter. This storey is unfathomable and you are so glad it's not happening to you. While the author would claim he had no choice but to live through this, I think he was and is the bravest person I've read about.

Wow! What a story!

Truth is stranger than fiction. I found that my jaw was dropped during large portions of this book. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.

Yes, all this really can happen

A wonderful book performed to perfection by the author. The story of all that can go wrong, and how it can get worse. Still, it is more instructive than depressing. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Scores should be a movie or TV series

This story is fascinating and the book is well written and could be a movie or TV series.

Trust the law to be fair?

in the end this is more of an indictment of rogue prosecutors and their unlimited power to corrupt the justice system.
At least the Mafiosi kept their word.
Could stop listening it has been an enthralling listen that enlightened me to the unfettered power of a few people (Prosecutor Hunt and Judge Conway) to turn justice in its head.

MUCH better than I was expecting!

I didn't really know what to expect from this book, but I was very pleasantly surprised - it held my interest from the first page to the last. This is part "true crime / mob story" and part "inside story of the hottest strip club in the country". That mix may sound strange, but it really worked for me. Highly recommended!

Dude got screwed over

Can't believe how jacked up that judge and prosecutor were in Orlando. There's something in the water Orlando that makes people oblivious to the rest of the world!
