Publisher's summary

What causes spacetime to curve? Einstein's theory of relativity offers an answer, but for decades after he published it, there were only a few, very subtle tests of its validity. How has modern astrophysics changed all that?

No WHY really

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, to anyone seeking for a very basic course on general relativity with emphasys on the curvature of spacetime. In general I am a great fan of The Great Courses series.

Any additional comments?

I think the title is misleading. Unless I missed something, the book does not actually explain WHY does the spacetime curve, unless because Einstein said so is the explanation. Except for that, I think there is not really much more one can say in only 28 minutes.

Don't Waste Your Time

First of all, this guy talks a hundred miles an hour, and what he says is the most superficial explanation of Einstein's General Theory of Relativity. You know what bothers me about guys like this one? It's like a 5th grade math teacher who goes over addition and subtraction with his students and then starts throwing in calculus terms along with random differential equations expecting you to "keep up, people". And of course he never does explain the "why" , only a tiny bit about the how. Shame...

Should be a video

This one should be a video so the reader could actually see what they are experimenting
