Publisher's summary

For the millions of adults diagnosed with ADHD, The Disorganized Mind will provide expert guidance on what they can do to make the most of their lives. The inattention, time mismanagement, procrastination, impulsivity, distractibility, and difficulty with transitions that often go hand-in-hand with ADHD can be overcome with the unique approach that Nancy Ratey brings to turning these behaviors around. The Disorganized Mind addresses the common issues confronted by the ADHD adult:

  • "Where did the time go?"
  • "I'll do it later, I always work better under pressure anyway."
  • "I'll just check my email one more time before the meeting...."
  • "I'll pay the bills tomorrow - that will give me time to find them."

Professional ADHD coach and expert Nancy Ratey helps listeners better understand why their ADHD is getting in their way and what they can do about it.

Necessary

I love the examples and suggestions. Powerful and relatable when the examples follow a real life story describing the “why”.

Awesome wisdom for self coaching!

Loved the simple matter of fact truth that we all relate to each day and solutions for our chaos! Highly recommend for adults with ADHD, their spouses, their bosses, peers and subordinates. The more we can understand ourselves and each other, the better off our world will be! Ready to listen again in a place where I can take some notes...

informative but disorganized

the information I was searching for is that but the chapter are just "chapter" no reference or actual table of contents. pretty inconvenient for an adhd minded person

Helpful and unique resource!

I have already recommended this book to a friend. It is filled with anecdotes and examples of many behaviors that readers may consider to be their own, personal faults. This book is filled with positivity and encouragement. It assures readers that they are in good company and provides the guidance and step by step plan needed to raise productivity levels. Thank you!

Informative

I suspect I may have adult adhd but I'm not 100%. Some of these chapters resonated with me.
This book helped me understand myself and others better and it is worth the read if you or another person that you love or work with may have adhd!
