If you own a company and have to keep track of a database with lots of information, or at least information that needs to stay secure, then SQL is the right option for you. This is a simple coding language that anyone can use and will often just require a few lines to get the work done. But with those few lines, you can write out a strong code that will help you to get, sort through, and create a database that works for you.

This guidebook will take a look at all the different topics that you will need to learn to make SQL work for you. Some of the topics that we will discuss in this guidebook about the SQL language include:

  • What is SQL
  • Why is it better than other database management languages
  • How to use SQL
  • How to work with the SQL commands
  • How to create your own tables

  • How to work with your data types

And so much more. When you are ready to get started with SQL and getting it to work for your needs, make sure to check out this guidebook to help you out.

Good length

Zach Webber did an excellent job of simplifying a language. I loved how easy it was to follow the book and there's no unnecessary fluff in the writing. I followed every word and it was very easy to learn. Thank you Zach Webber!

practical book

An ideal book for both beginners and experienced people. Because here it is well described the importance of each step, as well as what will be if treated lightly.

effective guide

Just finished the last problem of the book today. Overall, I found enough of the practice problems useful to further my knowledge of MS SQL. Some of the beginning problems were too basic and the advanced problems were sometimes a bit strung out. Would recommend to those who have at least some knowledge of SQL already.

worthy

I am starting from scratch, all self taught so far in SQL, and was picking up the syntax and wording, but could not find anything to give me real world application and scenarios. This book changed that!! Great book, great problems, really makes you think and still offers guidance!

I bought this book along with a similar book on SQL Queries. This book is very good for developers that are new to SQL and want to practice with real world problems. The big difference that I liked between the two books is that this one provided an "expected results" section for each question.

I recommended it to a guy in my company that wants to learn SQL.

This book is pretty good. I like the fact that it doesn't have a bunch of words to go through and it makes you look outside the book for resources. I've learned some new stuff already, especially about the set up of SSME.

Great book for any level! Straight to the point with excellent explanation. Questions start you off in beginner level and get more challenging towards the end. I was hoping for more after I reached the end.
