New to Python, not new to programming

I'm an experienced programmer new to Python and finally I have an introduction that is helping me become a more "real" Python programmer. Though I don't need to start from the beginning, it's useful to have the slate clean, as opposed to jumping into the middle with more advanced books. This book has been valuable to me as a coder who happens to be a Python newb, but I'm also looking forward to recommending it as a first programming book, as well.

Miracle method of teaching and learning

I just love it. I started Python (and programming) from scratch in December, 2017. I have worked through about two-thirds of the Kindle version and would have given up long ago had it not been for his unique approach. Once you get it for less than 8 bucks (the Kindle version that you can use on your computer), you will thank the author for giving it away essentially for free.

A GREAT way to learn PYTHON!

This book is the perfect combination of reading and experience. Yes, you might find the (free) online exercises tedious and boring but you will definitely get the material drilled into your head. Besides, Python has differences from other languages you might be used to and you want to have concepts like the following line drilled into your head! if x >= y: ;-)

This is a great book and I recommend it

This is a great book and I recommend it. It's a great way to learn Python. There are quite a few errors and ambiguities in the exercises that could definitely use a bit of clean-up by the author. Most of the errors are obvious but the ambiguous ones are frustrating.

Outstanding Book - Worth the Long Wait

This book is well written for beginners explaining concepts in plain language where others defer to technical jargon too early. I have at least 8 Python books and have trouble reading more than a few pages before checking out. With this one I find I can absorb the concepts easier and tend to keep at it longer. I wish Eric would write a similar book on wxpython - a subject in deep need of addressing for the early learners. Default GUI tools inside Python are simply not what I expected in terms of ease of use and quality.

Awesome Book

Been writing code since I was a kid and have read many programming books in my life. This book is solid. It covers all the core topics you would want to know about python in the first 10 chapters and does so in a concise, thoughtful manner. I rarely review books even though I read a lot of them because most are not that great. This book would be great for anyone wanting to learn python or anyone wanting to learn programming in general.

this book has done a fantastic job explaining the

I purchased this book to learn the basics of a new coding language. this book has done a fantastic job explaining the basics of great details. Everyone should actually follow along writing the code while they are reading through the book. The way this book was written it makes it very essay to read and understand the subject.

Outstanding walk through of Python fundamentals

Outstanding walk through of Python fundamentals. The projects in the second portion of the book are really helpful for new programmers that are just learning how all of the pieces can come together.
