I didn't look carefully before buying.....

What would have made Magic Mushrooms better?

The information seemed to be conjecture, speculation and personal opinion. I read the previous reviews but didn't notice it was only 33 minutes long. There is no possible way to adequately introduce this topic in that time. The comments and what is covered are arbitrary, random, and decidedly unscientific, questionable, and contradictory. It is incoherent in some parts and he what little information there is is repeated.

Would you ever listen to anything by Colin Willis again?

Unfortunately, no.

What aspect of Kelly Rhodes’s performance would you have changed?

Was fine.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Magic Mushrooms?

Again, there is much personal opinion and conjecture.

Any additional comments?

Apologies for the negativity of this review, but I'm very sorry I wasted a credit on this. I cannot recommend it for any reason.

Irritating to listen to

The man reading is pronouncing words wrong. The story itself is mundane and lacks any real information. You can find this information on Wikipedia.

Nope: SILO...????

It would help if the narrator would pronounce psilocybin correctly; I can not take a book on this subject if the narrator pronounces the first two syllables as :Silo (as in a place where grain is stored)
Got to return this audiobook.

informative but annoying

Plenty of good info but Kelly Rhodes voice is awful, almost sounds like a robot reading to me. Sorry Kelly.

Scientific review

This is the best and most concise informative book I have read on the subject. Although scientific research in the field of psychoactive organic plants have been officially discontinued for decades, the information contained in this book is progressive and shows research has continued in some form since initial case studies and the diagnostic summations publically available published in the 1950s. and 60s
For those seeking clinical summation of the terms for the psychological aspects and chemical components active in the brain after ingestion, this book is superb.

If only it was free!

In short this book which should be described as a pamphlet, sounds like it’s being read by a robot and has all of the character you could imagine with this type of narration.

Also the information provided equals that everyone who has even had an inkling of curiosity and has devoted 30 minutes time to research briefly on a few different sites devoted to the subject.

It would’ve been better received if it was one of audibles free offerings given you would not be left feeling like you have revisited well-known information without an investment of a book credit.
