worked for me!

This book is uses clear and very easy to understand language. It made "sense" to me, and I am not a programmer; but now can hope to be one (as a hobby, anyway). I would recommend this book to people looking to learn about coding that have little or no prior knowledge or experience.

Great grab!!!

This is an excellent book for learning Python. All of the examples are explained clearly, and are really to easy to understand. Well my understanding of the fundamentals in C, and other higher programming languages has been reinforced, as they share similar coding techniques. If you have some basic programming knowledge, or are just a beginner, you can learn Python easily with this book. Great read!

I purchased this book as an introduction to Python

I purchased this book as an introduction to Python, though I have some programming background. I really enjoyed the tone of this book, and the fact that it chunks up the lessons into short, manageable parts that all work together. Everything is really simplified in this book, with great examples and it made me feel like a non computer savvy person like me could attempt to do some work in python.

Very well written.

Anyway, all the problems I had with Python previously were addressed and I was able to find my problems with the help of this book. This semester I'm taking an into to programming class with a Python section that we just started. This book has helped me immensely. I was given access to this to write an unbiased review, but I would pay for it, that is the highest praise I can give.

Awesome!

This is an awesome book on Python. It gives me a lots of information as well as easy directions. Python is a great way to learn programming. Python is not that simple but with a visual learning experience than someone can learn fast.
Python is a high level language that is easy to understand because of the way it is organized.
I really recommend this book if someone is wanting to learn how to program in python.

Beginner friendly intro to Python

This is a great place to start when first beginning to learn Python. It provides the basic concepts that you would need to get started. The explanations are short and basic. It doesn't go into great detail so you're not getting too much information when you're just starting out. It offers just enough information to get an idea of what the basic concepts are and for you to decide if you would like to continue with Python and advance your skill. The exercises, quizzes and graphics are great tools though out the book that helps the reader to grasp the concept in a very beginner friendly way. I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review of the product.

A good start ...

Very good book written by a real teacher whose not-so-subtle motto is "...do what I say; don't do anything else; it's GOOD for you; do it."
And his choice of exercises and examples ARE all good for you.
If you don't like a somewhat irascible tone from time to time or if you already know too much to learn anything new, then don't buy this book.
On the other hand, if you want to learn Python, or learn MORE about Python, and don't mind being told what to do in order to achieve your goal, you can;t do any better than buying this book.
Highly recommended.

Right way, not hard way to learn the language

The approach presented in this book is, in my opinion, the right way to learn a programming language.
It is, as it appears, based on the shared experience and best practice of learning by combining intelligent hand-holding with do-it-yourself, get thrown into fire.

Do not let me scare you. It is not hard at all; the author just eliminates the needless babysitting related to details that any inquisitive mind should not have to worry about. Instead, the author focuses on the lessons that are, as official review suggests,
brilliantly crafted exercises.

I am hoping for more books from this series.
