I literally get ill when listening the examples

The book has nice scope (in my opinion it's not really advanced), but in my opinion it's not really enjoyable to listen, because of those examples which sounds like public space static space void space ...

Code parts are annoying

You should be read this and not listen to. The code examples are really annoying. For example: "public space static space class space dog"...
the biggest part in this book the "space" word.

very useful listen

I really like the way this book simplifies Java programming and its writing style that makes the book very easy to follow for beginners. This book starts from the beginning... from the concepts of programming in general to introducing programming concepts of the Java language that would help you on your way to becoming an expert in Java. The most interesting thing about this book is that it uses a 'learning by example' style which is very helpful in learning programming and that is why I love this book.

Good for starters

A really good book for starters. However, the book fails to follow its own suggestions in the examples in the last few chapters. I learned so many new things about java! Every idea was elaborated on to the point where I understood it but was not overwhelmed by it.If you are interested in learning more about Java, check this book out! That may be confusing for the beginners.

To much superficial

To much superficial for a "advance" book and a think the content should be more clear before you buy it
