Publisher's Summary

Whether you are trying to conceive naturally or through IVF, the quality of your eggs will have a powerful impact on how long it takes you to get pregnant and whether you face an increased risk of miscarriage. Poor egg quality is emerging as the single most important cause of age-related infertility, recurrent miscarriage, and failed IVF cycles. It is also a major contributor to infertility in PCOS.

Based on a comprehensive investigation of a vast array of scientific research, It Starts with the Egg reveals a groundbreaking new approach for improving egg quality and fertility. With a concrete strategy that includes minimizing exposure to toxins such as BPA and phthalates, choosing the right vitamins and supplements to safeguard developing eggs, and harnessing nutritional advice shown to boost IVF success rates, this book offers practical solutions that will help you get pregnant faster and deliver a healthy baby.

Knowledge in a book

Even though the voice of the reason is the most annoying one I've ever heard in audiobook, this book contains a lot of information in detail and it provides a lot of background and research data. It provides hope for all of us who are TTC and shows us the importance of taking care of our bodies before punishing ourselfs.
I would truly recommended if you like to read health related books

Must Read for All Wanting to Conceive

This book is very informative and straight to the point. It offers science backed advice as well as common sense suggestions. It touches on each area of fertility for women and there is even a chapter for men, while of course the entire book is for the couple Desiring to conceive. I hope that this book reaches moms-to-be xcetera months in advance and prayerfully even a year before they are trying to conceive so that they can begin preparing there their body to create an environment in their body (and surroundings) to nurture such a blessing.

Interesting Info for those TTC

If you could sum up It Starts with the Egg in three words, what would they be?

Educational, Easy-to-follow, Interesting

What did you like best about this story?

I liked how Fett backed up what she covered with empirical studies, papers and scientific findings. It wasn't just a mash-up of thoughts she came up with. I appreciate that she used her personal experience to fuel the passion behind this book but didn't rely solely on her experience, yet sought to back up her claims with science.

How could the performance have been better?

The narration was hard to listen to. At times, sounding like nails on a chalkboard. This was my first experience listening to a book rather than reading it. And, needless to say, it could've been better.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Definitely not. I needed time to absorb.

Interesting book

Narrators voice a little irritating but overall a good informative book. Does scare you a bit with all the things you shouldn't expose yourself to. Should take it lightly and not get stressed by all the lifestyle changes suggested.
