Publisher's Summary

Are you not feeling like yourself? It is okay not to be okay sometimes. What most people tend to forget is that it is perfectly fine that you are not on the top of your game all the time. It does not always need to be a serious condition or a situation to make a person feel bad. However, people sometimes cannot handle their problems on their own and need professional help in order to get better. That is why they undergo therapy run by professional therapists that guide people through their process of feeling better.

In this audiobook, you will learn about a therapy called "Cognitive Behavioral Therapy". You can read all about what it is, how to prepare for it, what to expect from it, how it will affect your life and emotions, and finally, how it will apply to your own personal trip of healing and getting better. You will also learn how to choose your therapist, to work on yourself in between sessions, what conditions CBT treats, and many other useful information on improving your general mental health.

Here is a preview of what you'll learn:

  • What cognitive behavioral therapy is
  • How cognitive behavioral therapy can help you
  • Starting your CBT journey
  • Step-by-step CBT guide
  • What cognitive behavioral therapy treats
  • How to get most of your CBT treatment
  • Differences between CBT and other similar approaches
  • What can you do on your own to think positively and feel better

Get this audiobook now and get rid of depression and anxiety for good!

Brief surface Overview

This book is only a overview, without providing actual steps, procedures and examples of how CBT is used. The narrator, although he has a pleasant voice, speaks like a computer, kind of choppy and toneless. I would have loved to start using CBT on my own but will need to do more research (may be with a better book!) or with a counselor first.

.if your physical symptoms aren't that severe then the biggest indicator that you may notice is that your anxiety is affecting you in ways that lead to lead to undue dysfunction or suffering in your day to day life.I highly recommend it.

I got the best advice here.

Understood the CBT principle by listening to this audiobook rather than reading it. I got the best advice here. Not to mention that I like the narrator’ voice. It’s not too husky. Just right.

Wonderful and comprehensive

Wonderful and comprehensive book on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and written in such a way even an undergraduate going into psychology can understand. I would say based on the empirical evidence on the effectiveness of CBT on many disorders this book is a must listen for anyone in the field.

help you

I think this is a good starter book. However, it is advisable to look for something more as a supplement to this book. It doesn't go as deep as needed to give more coverage on what Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is and how it may help align a person's life
