Critic Reviews

"The mean streets have never been meaner--or stranger - and the result is a high-speed, well-crafted romp through the forests of the night." (Booklist)

Just hard to listen to

I read the first book in the series. It was just ok in the paper format. I decided to use some credits and get this one from audible. I gave up a few hours in. It is hard to listen to, makes little sense and the voices-just awful. The men all sound like a cross between the insect guy from Star Wars I and really campy russian mobsters. The women sound like surly cross-dressers. Ok-we get it, vampires drink blood, however every time they sit to eat, we don't have to get the "drizzled type O negative on the nachos" routine. I guess I am spoiled by how great Pratchets novels sound. Don't say you were not warned.

Addictive series

Really good. I enjoyed this series. Felix cracks me up with his dry wit! I love his friends as well!! Loved Coyote and hope to see more of him in the future! Don't let the titles scare you these are not sex books!
