    "Incredible story and storytelling"

As a player of wow for 12 years I have a listening advantage in understanding the imagery and characters automatically. This left me basking in the fantastically woven story and taking in the complex themes- this is not just a "video game book". Treachery, honor, love, hatred, fear, loss, temptation, fatherhood, national pride- many richly tired together concepts (there are even issues of terrorism and a country's reaction to it that come up). For a fantasy fiction I found the read very relevant.

    "Pretty good story"

I've never been a big fan of Jaina. Her bleeding heart always bothered me a bit. Angry Jaina ready to level Orgimmar was exciting.

"Not Really a Tide, More of a Leak."
Where does World of Warcraft: Jaina Proudmoore: Tides of War rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of the weakest I've listened to so far.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

"That's it? Really? This is just to tease me into playing the game, isn't it?"

Did Justine Eyre do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Her male voices--Garrosh's especially--were awful and unappealing. Although I did enjoy her as Jaina, this book would have been better in the hands of someone that could do the deep, booming voices of the Orcs and Tauren.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not really. There were times that started off as intense, but nothing kept me wanting to listen all the way through.

    Any additional comments?

Although I still enjoyed it, it may be the weakest WoW book so far.

Nothing makes me happier than a lore so in depth. To a point where i lose sense of my own reality. Ive learned a lot more about Jaina in this book than actually playing the game.. and i love the game aswell. very pleased. need more books..

"Good Story but the voice acting is atrocious"
If you could sum up World of Warcraft: Jaina Proudmoore: Tides of War in three words, what would they be?

    Great story

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Her voice acting was terrible. The goblins are from Brooklyn and the Tauren seem to be just a bunch of slow humanoids.

    Any additional comments?

I would keep my money and buy the real book

I wasn't sure if I would like this after reading Richard A Knaacks writing which were fantastic but Christine does an awesome job of telling the lore and story of Azeroth. A must read for those looking deeper into the lore.

"great book, wonderful story, narrator is ok."

I love this story, it is well written. The narration was decent, but, the "For the Horde" sounds like a group of angry leprechaun's are going to attack with the heavy Irish accent that she adds to most of the male voices in this story. The males that don't sound Irish talk slowly like they were sired by Mr. Ed.
